MOUNTING SUB BEHIND PLASMA TV Can't Post

WILL MOUNTING A SUB (15") ABOUT 8" BEHIND A PLASMA TV HURT IT FROM THE VIBRATION?

THANKS

CHAD

It is always best to place the subwoofer in the corner of the room or in a closet. Low level sound is un detectable as far as placement is concerned. Placing the sub in a corner helps the bass propagate by using the wall surface. Place it there with a few inches of space between it and the walls. I don't think the bass will hurt the TV but I question why you have the need to put it behind the TV, there is no reason for it.

I know this sounds stupid, but my TH-42PW5 from Panasonic that I unpacked today has great picture, but no sound. I think I see speakers inside the TV, but maybe that is just the amps? Do I need speakers, or are they supposed to be built in? Any recommendations?

Youre model shows it does have outputs for external speakers but no actual speakers. many times people rout there center chanel to the plasma then use panasonics speaker that hang on the side as the center chananel this way the voices come from the screen
