NEC Plasma with top half of picture missing.

I have an NEC plasma which worked fine one day and the developed the following systems, the next:-
1. The top half of the screen is black.
2. Bottom half shows the bottom half of the picture.
3. The onscreen menu, if displayed in the centre of the physical screen, will not show the top half.
4. All Video images, PC, DVD and so on look like they are being displayed at a low colour resolution. Bit like having your computer set to 16 colour mode.
5. The image seems to bleed some colours upwards.
6. Messages and on screen menu's also have this torn/bleeding upwards.
I'm lost so if anyone has any suggestions.. Please.. It's only a couple of years old..
