PLASMA , LCD OR OLED DISPLAY? Can't Post

I have greater news for you guys and perhaps even confuses you how fast we become in FLAT PANEL INDUSTRY. LCD and PLASMA will be definite predessors and the battles continues but wait till you see the OLED DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY. it stand as: Organic Light Emitting Diode. It's a self-luminous panel that doesn't require backlighting and much more!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Your MAJOR concern about LCD and Plasma is far from over!

PROTO-TYPES is spreading all over japan ! Save up $$$$$ and see you soon!Wink

Have you solved the barrier layer issues associated with OLED? How are the prototypes holding up? Any altitude issues like the Plasmas?

Since they're substantially thin, I mean VERY thin! It's emissive power rather than transmissive, ALTITUDE shouldn't have any issues like LCD's. Although, your concern about altitude is not considered MAJOR or barrier layer issues as far as manufacturing restraint to any corporation. Either you live in DENVER or the HIMALAYAS.

Environmentally, Aside from being flat like PLASMA or LCD , OLED's concentration elements is more MAINLY on> Low energy efficient power consumption, Rich color saturation with contrast ratio rated 5000:1, Excellent luminous efficiency, lonnnggggggg lifespan, appropriate technology video application to the> NOW neverending debate regarding HDTV DISPLAYS that rivals REALITY. And most of all > Since it's basically from organic materials, Expected to even lower than the cost of Plasma and LCD. Im just saying this but there's no guarrantee.....Introductory price may shock you like the beginning of PLASMAVISION. from $24,000 down to $1,400.00 depending the unit volume may produce allowing of such possibility of becoming affordable.

Proto-types are undergoing reviews and evaluations, and will be at your hands abroad within the next 3-6 more years. Perhaps then, will be in time with the release of BLUE RAY recorder worldwide.

reason I ask about the barrier layer issue is that OLEDs, being organic, are susceptible to moisture, generally more than other display technologies. From what I've seen in flat panel display R&D conferences, particularly in the flexible display field, barrier layers have yet to be solved. Maybe rigid (e.g. glass) models aren't as susceptible.

That's why The idea of a flexible display made from organic LEDs deposited on a thin plastic is ideal of such cause and easier to manufacture rather than an (e.g. glass) and Thanks! a barrier coating has been developed to protects the OLEDs from such environment.

Lifetime is the fundamental key to making flexible OLED displays a viable technology. One major concern now is: Most possible OLED's MAJOR MANUFACTURER are busy developing blue PHOLEDs to which most current Proto's displays are being evaluated to withstand as predicted...Again! it could, as we speak! Wink or has been ? Sly
