Panasonic TH-37X25 - No picture for DVDs	Can't Post

I have a Panasonic TH-37PX25 and we have recently started having an issue with playing DVD's or any other component such as my video camera, etc. There is no picture even after checking to make sure cables are correctly hooked up. There is sound, AND, there IS picture if you use it in PIP mode. However, as soon as i turn the PIP off, the screen goes black. What is going on? I don't want to watch DVD's with the PIP square constantly in the corner! Help!

Sounds like you either have a corrupted NVM or the A/V switching ic may be faulty. Is the problem only on one input or all A/V sockets?

see if there is a factory reset in the digital menu and reset everything to default settings.this cures a lot of glitches.otherwise it sounds like corrupted memory so you probably need a local tech.

Hi, I was wondering if you have any news on your issue. I have the same model of TV (different size) and have the exact same problem. I had a service person come out and he wasn't able to help me much. He said he'll go back to do some research and let me know when he finds out. I'll let you know if I hear anything back.

Well, if anyone is interest, I got the problem fixed.
Its a corrupt firm ware
$100 to ship to the repair shop
$500 to fix the problem
$100 to bring it back home
Ouch!!!
