Gentlemen, I based in The Netherlands and have the same problem. I bought 42PF9952/32S second hand from someone for about 1400 euros and just shortly after twee months I had problems. When you fire up the TV it displays the picture for about a second. The fans shut down too and then you have your red blinking light on your right handside of the TV. I have brought it to a repair Centre and they advised me that the Screen is broken. So it will to be replaced. Costs EUR 2900 which is ridiculous. I thought that Philips had a good system regarding repairs / parts. Well I not happy at the moment as you can tell. As you guys are located abroad I just wanted to share ideas. And also wanted to know how you guys resolved your problems. Please let me know what I can do. By the way does anyone know what the cost would be of the plasma screen abroad?? Thanks in advance.
