Picture quality Panasonic Viera 42" Can't Post

My wife and I recently purchased a Panasonic Viera 42" plasma and now wonder how we survived watching the tv we had which now looks minature! In the package we got with the TV & surround sound system, we also got a DGTECH standard definition box. The picture quality is amazing to what we experienced before, but what I dont understand is when there is text (especially white text) on the screen it seems "fuzzy" or slightly out of focus. Its more prominent when there are commercials or after ad breaks when the channel logo comes up saying what the program is that you are watching. Larger text is OK but small text seems somewhat blurry.
We have an Xbox 360 and the picture quality and the text on this is 1st class! just the free to air tv seems a bit fuzzy
Have also discovered when watching AFL football that the color of the grass seems a bit fuzzy at times as well. Is it because its not a high definition box, or do I have the wrong connection leads?
I purchased a set of leads for about $70 which I was told we needed for good picture quality (leads are green blue and red)
We would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

Im pretty sure there are other viewers in your area having this experienced but didn't bother them like you should. You seem you wanna blame the tv but with your xbox performance thru the tv kinda hold you back a litle to pinpoint which really causes the problem, or was there?... of course not!. The truth is: you bought a Plasma not knowing the difference might become an EDTV signal (from standard signal )displayed in HDTV monitor / or HDTV monitor downconvert standard signal. It's not a good thing!..... Im kinda lost of what you said earlier:You have DGTECH standard definition box, how did you manage to connect a component cable in it if it's not a high definition box?

Would you like fries with that? He does go on does he not. To spend $70 on a set of leads is robbery, so sorry you were had. If the signal had been in the radar frequency you may have noticed a difference but as standard AV the difference could hardly be detected. I would think your focus issue is the set top box is not quite up to it.
