Pioneer Plasma and PDP-R06U Media Receiver Can't Post

Hello,
I have a Pioneer Plasma and PDP-R06U Media receiver and yesterday I had DIRECTV installed and now when I try to turn off my TV whether it's through the TV remote or DIRECTV remote the tv shuts off but the light indicating whether the TV is off goes back and forth between "On and Standby" but won't turn off completely. I've tried unplugging the TV for a couple of minutes and it doesn't do anything. I had DIRECTV hooked up to this Plasma and Receiver before and didn't have any issues until now. Has anyone had this problem or know why this is happening. Please help.
Thanks.

There is an intermittent active signal present thru direct tv receiver coxial output towards the media receiver coaxial input. Un-plugged all units and disconnect all connections and re-do it carefully all over again. This shouldn't alarm you thinking it would cause damage to the plasma. No! it should go away and it's happenning momentarily. if it continues, have all units plug in one strip so when you turn off all units will be from the strip. But it won't damage the tv regardless from the intermittent.

Thank you for your response. I tried what you said, I unplugged all connections to both the DIRECTV receiver and Pioneer receiver and then reconnected everything and I'm still having the same problem. I can't turn the Pioneer receiver on or off. It stays in standby (red light) and the plasma is still switching back and forth to on and standby. Everything works fine it's just that I can't get the Plasma to turn completely off or stop switching back and forth without turning the Power button off. My bedroom lights up because of the back and forth switching. Any other suggestions please?

Since plasma socket is connected at the back of media receiver right? and the media receiver then input both in one power source. What you are going to do now is get the strip, plug the tv in one strip including the direct tv receiver. When you turn all units off, switch off the power strip as well after watching. I'm saying this cause It's happening to my equipments once in a while, along with their remote controls and it always starts with my BEOLAB 8000. Eventually, sooner or later, one day you won't even notice when it's gone. Power glitch, interference are unpredictable. That's all there is, do not call tech and brake it.
