PIONEER EDTV OR PANASONIC EDTV?	Can't Post

I'm in the market for an EDTV and was looking at either the Pioneer PDP-42MV or the Panasonic TH42PWD7UY.

I know that there was quite a few shutdown issues with the panasonics. I was wondering if that issue was taken care of.

I also was wondering if anybody has the Pioneer EDTV and the pros/cons of the Pioneer.

I have the same Pioneer that yiou are asking about. I am very happy with the TV, all the inputs and the pic quality is outstanding. I was going to buy the Panasonic as well but the salesman talked me into the PIoneer.

Why are you so set on EDTV? I would go ahead and spend a little more and get an HDTV. In 2 or 3 years the majority of the TV programming will be HDTV and even the DVDs will be HD so you will really be missing the boat.
