Samsung SP-R4212/SP-R4232 audio/optical cable question Can't Post

Hello, quick question re: audio...

I just purchased a Samsung SP-R4212 (basically the same as SP-R4232 minus CableCard), and am trying to hook up my Sony receiver to the TV via an OPTICAL cable.

I plugged the optical cable into the receiver and fit perfect/snug...when I tried plugging the other end of cable into the Samsung optical input, the connector doesn't exactly 'snap' in snuggly. I DO get the audio signal fine, but it's real loosely connected, and could fall out easily it seems. It's barely in the cable connector...It seems like it would need to 'snap' in there like the receiver, but doesn't...

Has anyone had an issue like this with a Sammy display like this?

Thanks!

Don't own one but I think someone else on this forum had same issue.
I have heard that this is the issue with a lot of the optical cable inputs, that's why most people opt for the coaxial.

A lot of newer cable have issues though-- HDMI isnt exactly snug either
