Screen is so dim Can't Post

The room has to be completely dark before you can tell if the screen is on and then you can tell that it is barely lit.It is a Panasonic TH-42PZ80U.Have changed the X-sustain board out because the led on the board didn't come on,and it does with the new board but still so dim it didn't help. You can hear the double click when you plug it in and the fans are working. When you press the power button the power light comes on and stays lit steady. What controls the light in a plasma?

I have now found there is no voltage on A1 pin1,supposed to be 5volts.I am replacing A board to see if that is the problem.
