Sony KE-42TS2U Chip replacement 1019 Can't Post

I rememeber seeing a thread about the B-Board replacement - but instead of spending BIG money - it related that just replacing the IC1019 would solve the problem. Where can I get thsi IC1019?
someone replyed that this part is available - but I can not find it? where is it

I put in a reccycled B-Board and same problem as before. The power led lights up, the fan comes on, the screen flashes very quickly a white light, the sleep timer light flashes once, relay RY101 clicks on the power switching board, then the power goes off - shuts everything off - remains off for 30 seconds and same happens again. This will continue 2-4 times then it shuts off.

Is this still a B Board problem - did they send me a bad BBoard?

Repair man:

Hi Shaun -- Check diodes near the caps you changed, if any are bad it will cause caps to bulge.

Here are a few more things I found in my notes from past repair jobs of that set ...

Check the connections on IC 1019 located on the B-board #875966950,

Replace the B-board #A1300914A, the board should be located above the tuner assembly

Hope this helps, Dan

Was NOT MY diagnosis.Angelic

I was wondering if you found out the problem? I have the same unit with the same exact problem as you described.

Hi,
This is really a late reply. But, it might help someone sometime.

I just ran across one of these tv's doing the exact same thing. I believe it does not stay on because it is getting a feedback signal that it is not happy with.

Mine turned out to be the x-sus board (usually referred to as the z-sus). It was a cap in the upper right hand corner - C49. It is a 10uf tin cap. It is right by the lm358 op-amp. There are two there; it is the lower of the two.

If it is your problem, you should be able to heat it up and the tv will stay on! Give it a try. And good luck!
