What happened to my picture? Can't Post
I was watching DSS tonight on my NEC 50 MP2 plasma, when all of the sudden the screen became a bunch of little multi-colored sparkling dots for about 5 seconds and then went to a blank, black screen. When I turn it on and off, all I get is blank screen. The unit is only about 2 years old. Anyone have a clue what has happened?

It's not just your tv, it is on all Plasma TVs by the companies... It's a glitch in the plasma tvs that the companies cannot fix yet. That is why it is always best to get a 2 year warrantee, or free pre=paid repair services from the store you bought it from.

is it true plasma run off gas & once the gas runs out in about 2 to 4 yrs the gas can not be replaced the plasma must be replaced

same exact thing happened to my panasonic 42 plasma. If it is less than two years you can try credit card company for additional one year extension of the warranty that they usually provide without any cost.
