What happens when Plasma TV is Frozen???? Please Help Can't Post

Im moving to Alaska From the states, No matter what way I ship my 42" Plasma up there from the states, it will be exposed to temps below zero, It will be in orginal packing and well protected, extreme colds dont usually hurt electronics as long as there not in use, BUT i have no idea how it could or would effect the Plasma? Anyone? Thankyou.

It is time you should consider the Pelican casing for Plasma....http://www.military-cases.net/plasma-shipping-case.htm .They relatively high, but it will ensure all kinds of awareness extreme or low type of transportation............Forget the original packaging and how well you are going to protect it, Im more aware to those who's going to handle your plasma cause you can't be too careful in such weather from the moment you step out from the plane. Extreme weather inside their casing do not affect them, Exposure is....Like any other tv's, before use, allow the unit to adopt it's new surroundings before turning it on. When unit is cold and turn it on, the moment you turn it off is how moisture develops, Im not just referring the electrical part, but the screen itself as being sandwich remember? As comfortable as you are in your surrounding is when you fire the unit on. Electric fans is the best, again to cool it down and to prevent from possible moisture recreation.

I believe plasmas are shipped by sea as the screens explode when shipped by air due to lack of airpressure.i would move to Hawaii instead its warmer.

Chris would be correct. They had many issues in the beginning of plasma's with them vibrating when used in areas like Denver and Colorado Springs. Since the panels were originally charged at a lower altitude they had a tendency to vibrate when installed and run at higher altitudes. I'd truck ship the thing.
