Which Size Plasma 42" or 50"? Can't Post

Hello All;

I am new to this forum and appreciate any help you can offer.

I am ready to purchase a plasma and am looking at the Panny th-50px500u.

I have 13' of viewing distance so as I understand a 42" or 50" would work for me. Also, I have the budget for either.

My preference would be to have a 50" for movies and a 42" for network TV.

Would a 50" be too large for regular TV viewing? I have DirecTv with a DirecTivo unit. Would the SD signal look OK on a 50"?

Other than the size charts, what other criteria should I use to determine the size to purchase?

I enjoy quite a few network shows but I am concerned about Donald Trumps head overtaking my living room. My living room is 14' X 12".

I appreciate your help,

the panasonic is about as good as it gets but dont make the mistake of many people in buying a screen too big for the room and then moaning about the pixilation you can see because you are too close!
