Which TV to get Can't Post

hey everyone,
i'm lost at trying to figure out which tv to get. i would like to get a 50 inch for the living room. we are about 10-15 feet from the tv depending on placement. still trying to figure out what the real difference is between plasma and lcd (i've figured out the mirrors vs. jelly).. i'm gonna use the tv for playing ps3, watching sports and movies and general tv viewing.. i am kind of on a budget of about 1500 dollars, i can probably push it up to 2000, before my wife would file for divorce.. i know those aren't the greatest odds, but any info would help greatly.. thanks for taking the time to read this.

There two types of LCD sets , flat panel and rear projection. I don't think you can find a goood LCD flat panel in your price range.

If you are going to play ps3 for hours and hours without stopping you might worry about image retention ( burn in ) on a plasma .
If you are just playing for just a hour or so that shouldn't be a problem with a good plasma ( Pioneer, Panny, new LG, samsung )

I checked locally to see if there was a in home repair company in my area for the brand I was interested in .

But if everything is equal just pick the set that looks the best you. You are the one watching for the next decade.

There should be sales for Memorial Day, 4th of July and early Sept ( Labor day and start of football season )

Just a few more things to think about .

Look for a plasma with a "game " mode that wil help. If your video game has no constant image than it shouldn't hurt the screen either.
I'm sure there are thousands of people playing video games on plasmas with no problems, so I wouldn't rule out getting a plasma just because of any worry about burn in. Just be aware that it could happen.

Some plasmas have an option to show just a bright white screen. You just run this screen for a couple of hrs and it wipes any minor image retention ( those station logos on the bottom of the screen etc ).

I was recently in the market for a TV and came across a number of sites...some were scams and some were legit I ended up going with this site: www.dynamik-solutionz.com they have some great prices and they take care of you...I think you should definitely give them a call best buy will rip you off lol
