hello all,
new to forum,would like to thank all for this site,your feedback is well appreciated,i have a dts42" daewoo PLASMA i bought about 2 years ago ,now its displaying diff colored lines vertically top/bottom,mainly around middle,but image is good,is this a major problem or easy fix,if easy can i possibly fix or what parts are neeeded,any feedback i will appreciate!!!

change the aspect ratio to 4:3 if the lines stay in the same place then the pdp panel is probably faulty so dump the set. if the lines move then one of the driver pcb's is causing the problem

As Chris said, that's the driver board or a panel. Either way you're probably screwed. The service/retailer I used to work for sold the Daewoo 42" plasma's. We could never get parts for them. Not sure what the warranty is on that thing but I hope it's more than just a year on the parts and labor warranty.

I am having a similar problem with my Daewoo 42" plasma model DP-42SM. The screen used to have just lines for about 10 minutes after turn on, but you could still see the image. I moved the tv to our new house (very gently), and now it has diagonal green then pink lines, and you cannot see the image. Each line is about 2" wide. Any ideas?
