54" Phillips Magnavox With Focus Issues

Whenever we turn on our television it keeps bowing in and out of focus. If we keep changing the channel and going to the convergance in the menu without making changes we can fix it in a few minutes. Is there anything we can do to make the fix permanent? Is there a part we may need? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
