I do have good news....I have not cleaned anything on TV yet, I have been too busy to clean anything. When I was not busy, my brother was using it to play Gears of War 2 and 3.
I will follow your advice on cleaning the inside of the TV. When I have the extra cash, I will purchase a pump to pump out the colant so I can clean the convex lens.
There are three other problems that I have noticed with the screen.
When using the Multi-Point Convergence on the blue, the farther the blue arrows are from the screen, they get fuzzy and lopsided.
The image is not centered on the screen.
When I use the PS3 or 360 with component cables in 1080i, the colors are not aligned on the screen. It works fine in 480p. The TV does not support 720i/p or 1080p.
