HELP!! mitsubishi vs-5061

I am having a problem with my Mitsubish vs-5061, there is a black box covering 80% of my screeen with the tv program in the backdrop. when i press the quick view button I see the qv channel on 100% of the screen for about 2 seconds then the black box reappears. I had a PIP problem 2 years ago and the problem was fixed by circumventing the PIP module. Any ideas?
