Help with a noise problem ?????????	Can't Post

I have a Toshiba projection and I have pointed out the noise coming from a resistor on t he ballast board but was wondering if i can just replace the resistor. The resistor makes a sparking noise and I was wondering what would cause the resistor to spark?

There you go! that's the best analogy in electronics problem I have ever heard and someone did get a clue. Well, There is one resistor in the ballast board that's already damaged but halfway working, short circuitous to the "problem resistor" Since you can't check them individually is a high risk, it could be coming from the power supply.
