Hitachi 60V525E won't power up

I have a Hitachi 60V525E rear projection that will not power up. Recently the bulb indicator came on, and no picture, so I have replaced the bulb. After doing so, I turned on the set and the bulb warm up indicator comes on, then there is a buzzing sound and flashing light from rear board on power supply (see photo) buzzes and flashes three or four times, and then set turns off and bulb indicator lights up. I have limited experience with circuit boards, but my father was a Heathkit man (if anyone remembers them) so I am willing to tackle simple repairs. http://picasaweb.google.com/dreamcatchers22/20101110#5537996598979164722
