I would like to buy Two Circuit Boards:

1. Power /deflection board: After back cover is removed, it sits flat in front of you. Is attached to black plastic frame to keep it rigit; remove board and frame as unit.
2. Power board: Just left of power/deflection board; stands vertically and is a smaller board. Main power line is soldered to this board and maybe clipped for removal

3. Both Boards easily removed by pulling plugs and removing a few screws.

17 year old set and you want to blow cash on it? well might try a company like PTS ( 800-844-7871 ) and see if they might be able to rebuild it

Hi Mike
Thanks for the advice. Dropped 1500 dollars into your Spokan economy through Onecall.com (Great Company and Great People) and bought a new Sony 55" lcd. However still have a Hitachi with a blank screen that is too much of an old friend to let go. I had already call PTS in Indianapolis and they will not repair the board, nor do they have a replacement. I have a short in the power deflection board and only have a VTOM and can't find it. I don't want to send it out for repair, because it is too expensive for such an old model. All I want are some used boards that still work and drop them in the set. Also trying to get that TV out of the house is a major undertaking; it must weigh about 250 lbs. All I want is someone to make me a deal on the boards, put them in the mail COD and I'll be happy!
Thanks for you imput; always appreciate advice.
