Looking for Service Manual Can't Post

I was given a Phillips/Magnavox 60" 8P6054-C102. Apparently it has algae in the lens, I didn't know they could. I'm looking for a service manual to fix it myself instead of paying $1000 to have somebody else do it.

I can only find organization that require a tax id # before I can order a service manual. Anybody know where I can get one free.

thanks dramz

Well a contaminated coolant problem is not covered in the service manual, Most techs know hou to do this by expearance. Can't think of any manual that covers this,, I'll write one for the Old Magnovox and post it shortly

Well you will need to remove the tube in question from the TV the coolant is stored behind the lens itself you must then remove the lens from the tube and then there should be some spring loaded bolts loosen them and take off the cover dump the old coolant out and clean any algae away then refill and replace the cover secure the bolts. Reinstall and re-converge the tube and your done.

This was the procedure on my 2002 Toshiba 42H82 but I'm sure the process doesn't vary much.

Also discharge the CRTs before removing them or course.

If you didn't find your manual
I know a good website where you can find your manual, www.pdf-manual.com
I hope that my small contribution can help you.
