Magnavox 9P5031C - Convergence Issue?	Can't Post

Hello. I am looking at trying to repair this Philips Magnavox TV. The picture is bowing inward on all sides and the color is off. After reading posts, I have come to the conclusion that either the IC'(s) or the convergence board need to be replaced. Could someone confirm this? Or do you think it could be fixed by going through the service menu? (haven't tried yet) If the issue does sound like hardware, does anyone know where I can purchase the parts from? (sites, etc) Thanks.

Finaly someone asks before they go in to the service menu and compleatly screw up the tv.....The anwer is NO. No tweaking around in the service menu will NOT fix a blown componet. The old " Why would you rip youre transmision out because you had a flat tire ?" But there are several differant combinations of convercance curcuitry in the Phillips Magnovox so we need a model number first

Oh you did give a model number, my bad, this uses the old STK392-110's for convergance, what we do is buy a kit # X480295 this has some upgraded IC's and if you need them a few resistors, this kit is for a Hitachi but we buy them just because it's easyer and gives you a few extra parts, not to mention it takes the guess work out of which damm STK392-110 you should get. And just to keep ya from getting scared you got the wrong Ic's in the X480295 kit the Ic's are STK394-160

I have a 9P5031C??? 60" TV I believe. I turn on the TV and in about 5 seconds... the picture bows in on all sides, leaving a rainbow outline, and the picture is all white. Do I trash the TV or is it a cheap repair? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!! Thanks
