Mitsubishi 5061 PIP

Hi All,
I bought a used Mitsubishi 5061 projection TV. The TV works great, but I am having problems getting the PIP to work. I hooked up my VCR through EXT-1. I have my cable (no box) hooked through Ant A, split going to my VCR. When I push the PIP button on the remote, my screen goes dark. I can see the name EXT-1 on the middle right side, the Ant A though, is actually going above the screen.
Any thoughts? Did I hook it up through the VCR right?
