Mitsubishi VS-412RS Sound and No Picture Can't Post
I have found the 12 volt low voltage to be a clean 21 vdc. I am wondering if this could be a problem? I had injected 12 volts from a computer (plugged into the same isolation transformer) and my results where as follows; 1. the power on led glowed prior to power on, I would say that is ok. 2. when I powered the tv on w/ the injected 12 volts from a computer power supply the audio was very loud. Invalid testing? I don't know? 3. It did't change the fact that I had no video.
So...would a high 12 volt (21v) output from the power supply module cause my tv to display no video (HV)?

Sounds like you have a low voltage regulator bad, What is the year of manufacture on your set and I will see if I have that service manual.

The problem may be as simple as this,,,,,, The set is now old enogh to drink,,, At 21 years of age many things go bad, Mitshubishis are well known to have weak or compleatly gone capacitor at 15 years. You could go and spend hundreds of hours and dollors tracking down weak caps and the componets these destroyed but you will still have a 21 year old set. You must remember they don't build these like they use to. Sets do not last 20 years like good ol' dads. Rule of thumb, Tv's age just like cats, So you have a 21 year old cat,,,, How fast you think this cat can run?
