Mitsubishi VS-5041 - No picture or sound Can't Post
Hi - I have a Mitsubishi VS-5041 that has no sound or picture. The power light is on and the filaments of the tubes are illuminated. I'm looking for a schematic and/or tips on where to start. I've had the main/power board out and all looks OK - nothing obviously fried. No open fuses. Can't do much troubleshooting without a schematic.... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like your PIP board has gone bad. Look around on here for the cure . You'll loose your PIP, but most people don't use it that much anyways.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. What have you done to check the power supply? It sounds from your description that you only checked the physical condition of the bard. That isn't enough. You should check to see if the voltages seem correct and such.

Well I agree 100% but I don't have a schematic so would be shooting in the dark. I haven't had any luck finding one. Can you help? The PIP board seemed like an easy thing to rule out, especially since several had said they thought that was the problem (didn't seem logical to me but, hey, what do I know?) Thanks for your reply - If you can point me toward a schematic that would be a great help.

I too have a Mitsubishi (VS5051) and the only place that I could find a schematic is through the Mitsubishi Parts Dept. The number is 800-553-7278. They are kind of pricey - $47.50 + $11.50 shipping.
