"No Sound" Toshsiba Rear Projection Can't Post

Hello, I have a Toshiba 65H93 rear projection television that has "No Sound". The tv starts up fine, and has a great picture. I would like to know how to fix this myself and where to get parts for it. If this isn't something that the average person can't fix... what will I likely have to spend in order to get this repaired?

Already Tried: So far I have done everything it says to try in the Manufacture's Manual. Everything works great on the television,...still just doesn't have any "Sound" coming out.

Any expert advise or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Make: Toshiba
Model: 65H93
Manufactures Date: August 2003

A lady was vacuuming one day and accidentally hit the slide switch in back that turns the TV's speakers On/Off.Wink

Another person didn't realize the the "kids" had gone into the TV's menu and turned "off" the set's speakers.Cool

Still another person found that her aging mother had turned the "volume" all the way down.

Another person couldn't understand why he only had sound on "certain" channels and that it did not match the picture being shown (instead something like: "If you are hearing this announcement this means you have your television set to receive SAP programming...").

You could also actually have a defect with your television. A Sony hybrid audio module perhaps? (although they seldom fail without giving prior notice: loss of left or right channel audio, volume lowers/raises by itself, popping, etc.)

This is what I have done so far since my original post. I hooked up my audio out sockets on the ( red/white ) connected to my home theater system aux input. Having done this "it does give me sound through my home theater system speakers". So my question now is what type of part do I need to replace inside the tv in order for the actual tv speakers to work again?

I'd check inside the set first to be sure yours even uses it. Usually inside a metal can or shield in the audio processing area.

MCM Electronics, for one.
