A friend has a 60 inch Philips model 9P6040C104 chassis PTV843 that she wants to sell. The only thing is, it needs to be repaired. She wants to sell it for $200. She said the picture started to blink off and back on-now there is no picture. I don't want to buy it if this is something that is a major repair. My boyfriend could probably fix it if he could get a service manual. Is it worth buying or should I pass?
Also, she said her mom has the same tv and it did the same thing and told her what part had to be replaced on hers to fix it. My friend has the part for it. IF I could find a service manual online, is it worth it?
