cartelli;....

I need a Good clear pix with decent video before
I can figure that one out....

All I can see is a green bar at the top....
& can't make out much from the rest...

Looks highly pixelated...

Take a look down thru the lens of each color & check & see
if there's enough coolant in them...Coolant should cover all video on CRT face...
You should see no air in there....

cartelli;....
Sorry about the delay...I've got a problem with my computer I'm trying to solve....Mad....
Spent most of the day scanning it...
I WILL look at your video on Monday & get back to both of you...

BTW: Your link was not active...Had to copy & paste in a new window....
NOT a big deal...Just inconvient.....
Next time try this:..After you paste your link in a reply , see if it is underlined...
If not , click on "Preview Post"...Check on your link in the post....
It should do 2 things...1,the link should turn blue , be underlined , & 2, open a new window & take you to where ever it should...
IF it doesn't turn blue & underline itself you may have to play with it a little....
JUST a suggestion....Sly...

cartelli;....

I finally got to see your video....My rating;...fair to middlin'...
It looks to me that the blue & green are out of focus....
And the blue is tilted toward the left on the top side of the cross...
Before I tell you how to do this , I need answers to some questions...
#1=...What "dials" did you adjust in the back ???...Specifically !!!
#2=...Did you adjust anything on the lense assembly ???
#3=...Did you adjust any convergence adjustments in the customer
menu or advanced menu ???...
ANY convergence adjustments at all ???
We'll get to that green bar at the top later....
First we got to straighten out that pix so I can see it better...

My computer is giving me problems , so please bear with me until
I get a handle on what is going on with it....OK....Thanks...

Re: [Ron.M] Phillips 61 Inch Tv Problem [In reply to] Can't Post

the dials i turned refer to the ones in a link on the first page, they are the ones for red green and blue, and there are 6 dials.

other than the convergence screen i showed you in the video, no i havent done anything else.

and from what i know i havent done anything in a anvanced menu, and nothing on the inside of the tv either, just changed the fluid and replaced everything back 2 normal, there is one thing though that i HOPE dosent matter.

you know the 3 "tubes" and how they have an expansion pack of some sort on them, well the red and green were facing toward me and the blue the other way, well i put the green back together wrong and i had to hae the expansion pack the other way, does this make a differnce?

in the video it shows all the colors displayed right, so i dont think it does, anyway ron please tell me how to get that green bar gone FIRST cause its really bugging me now lol

thx

It definitely does make a difference....
Take it out & put it back the right way...
More than likely that's what is causing the green bar at the top...
Sorry , but it needs to be done whether it solves the problem or not....
Save the coolant , reverse the lens assembly & put the coolant back in...
Be sure you fill it correctly, ie , not too little & not too much..... Overfilling is just as bad as underfilling....

Se ya tommorrow....

ok when i get a min i will, idk if i can pull myself away from dragon age origins or call of duty MW2 ><

but you think this is the reason for the green/blue/red bar at the top? cause i am thinking it might be as well, knew i should have toke it apart when i had the tv open lol, and now my color is wayyyy better, but the blue still like outlines everything but im pretty sure its convergence issue there, u know a way to fix that?

What part of that do you NOT understand ???...
As you can see , I'm not certain....
This first started as a green bar , then went to a blue bar to a red bar....Now it's green/blue/red !!!

As first you weren't too worried about the bar , now you appear to be bothered a lot by it....

It does NOT appear to be a convergence issue & YES there is , but first things first...Comprendo ???

ok swapped it out and did it the right way....

still a bar at the top and im gonna put a vid for you to watch in like 30 min, but now that i fixed that problem after assembling it again i have another problem ><

in both lower corners there is a green hint in it, idk why but i realized as you see in the vid i will post there is a line is the lens and it moves which means i didnt fill the green tube with coolant back all the way, well after you tell me or suggest how to fix the line at the top i will go back and fill the green crt back all the way, which might be the reason for the green tint, but you tell me, and no i didnt leak any coolant anywhere already checked that.

cartelli;.....

I'm having a problem seeing your movie....Unsure....(For 2 days now )....
The link in your previous post is NOT active.....

When I copy & paste the link to my address bar at the top of my webpage it takes me to your photobucket page & promptly freezes up...

When I try to close up the page & leave it , I get an error message
that eventually takes me to Microsoft's error page....

The link below IS active...
You can see a light blue tint to it....

When you run your on-screen arrow over it ,
you'll see it go to a brighter blue....

That said , the active link does the same thing...The page freezes up....

http://s487.photobucket.com/...current=DSCN1212.flv

Either my computer is having more problems OR
the website is for some reason not working for me...
Either way , I can NOT see your movie....

In the meantime , please fill the green CRT (tube) up PROPERLY....
Use caution to not overfill it....

Put a "url" inside these brackets[] in front of a link and a "/url" inside these brackets[] after the link.

Depending on which ?browser? you may be able to put the cursor at the points of insertion and click the "url" button in the editing pane. Or leave at end and hit "url" twice, copy/paste/delete as required. Use "Preview Post" to confirm.

Sorry , I don't understand half of that.....Maybe more than half.....
In my posts I don't add anything....
I just copy the link & hit Preview Post...
If it's blue , it's good to go....
If not I split the link in about the center...
Usually that will activate the top half...Then I use "back space" to reunite the 2 halves....
Then go back to "Preview Post" & 99% of the time that works....
BTW: Copying & pasteing the link in the address bar as it is , does work just fine ....Without adding anything....

If you got a minute or two to waste , how about trying the link in my previous post & see if you get his movie.....
This computer has been acting strange lately....
IF YOU see his movie , then I've got more problems with my unit...
AND you may be able to confirm what the "Great Carnac" has in the envelope.!!!!
THANKS....I would REALLY appreciate it.....

Have/had no problem copy/paste his link "as is" into the address bar and viewing his movie (it did stop/start a couple of places as it must have had a headache and needed to take aspirin/buffer(in)).

IE handles things a little bit differently than Opera/Firefox. One example: using IE you get a choice of advanced editor or basic editor for posting a reply, with Firefox even though I can select advanced editor through my preferences/profile menus, I only get basic and I can't access. advanced through "Post Reply."

Carnac can't mail or receive letters where he now resides.
