Phillips Magnavox 9P5544C102 white screen and shuts off Can't Post
I have a 55" Phillips-Magnavox rear screen. Chassis PTV840.
When the TV is powerd on, you get a white screen with horizontal lines and then the screen blacks out after a couple seconds. The power LED remains on.
Any thoughts?

sounds like the infamous opto bulletin to me, you really didn`t say what you`ve checked so far, if you haven`t done the modification for the opto circuit I would start there.

I haven't really checked anything yet. I wanted to have an idea before I dove into this.
Could you provide some more details on the modification for the opto circuit?
Are there other posts relating to this?

you need to check all of your run voltages when the screen goes black, your obviously missing a must have voltage somewhere, Larry E
