Pioneer SD-P40 Green Convergence problem

I have a Pioneer SD-P40 (1986) projection TV that was working great until it developed green convergence problem on the left side of the screen. The green line begins correctly at the corners but arcs about 2 inches towards the center of the screen. As one moves towards the center and then to the right of the screen, the convergence improves and is correct from center on to the right. Consulted the service manual but that was no help on the green. Do i need to replace the convergence board? Any help will be appreciated.
