Pioneer SD-P5046 Red Gun dim

I have acquired a Pioneer SD-P5046 projection TV manufactured 1990 time frame, and the picture is very greenish. I starting looking at this thing and initially it looked like the Red Gun wasn't working (I later found out it actually was but it was really dim). I tried adjusting the front panel RGB controls to try and even it out and couldn't really get it that much better. I was able to crank up the Red "Drive" on the Main board, but then the red looked saturated. I took the daughter board off of the Red gun and tried putting it back on just to see if it was a loose connection, no difference. There are only a handful of components (couple of resistors, an electrolytic cap, a diode, a couple of ceramic caps and what appears to be a power transistor). The power transistor is marked C2257 and I can see on the board where the legs are marked E (Emitter), B (Base) and C (Collector). Could this power transistor be the culprit? I felt the heat sink on it and then felt the one on the Green Gun circuit board and it didn't appear to be as warm as the Green, so I was thinking it wasn't conducting too well. I might try replacing it but does any one know the voltage or current requirements for this bad boy? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
