Pioneer SD-P5183 Suffered Lightening Strike on AC

Can't Post

Pioneer SD-5183 later version Jan 96 Manf date. We had a lightning Strike on our AC Line. Antenna should be fine our FM Rec is hooked to the TV antenna and still works fine. Standby light will not come on. Checked all fuses on Pwr supply board for continuity and measured 120vac on them when plugged in. Had local service come in, he just looked at it and said it would be $650 for a new Standby PCB. In looking at the TV I can't see how you would get the board out without taking virtually every other board out first. I would like to give it a good visual insp and do some testing before I junk the TV because I'm not spending $650 on it. HELP!!! Is there any secret to getting out the Standby PCB? If not any hints on what might be the most common part to fail on it in a power surge? I can't believe that there are 4 fuses in the Pwr supply board not damaged but a PCB Buried in the Front of the TV is the first thing to go! I had this unit Aligned by a Joe Kane certified Tech when I bought it and was hoping to have it last until the HDTV mess gets straightened out.
