Pioneer SD p-6091 convergence problem Can't Post

Greetings,
The red color will not shift to the right when I try to correct the alignment. I can adjust up and down but not to the right. There for there is a redish ghost image slightly offset from the picture. Pioneer lists the convergence board (AWZ6071) part at just about $300. Last year I had to have the power board replaced and it cost me $600. The repair guys want to charge me almost that much again to replace the convergence board. I am not employed at present so money is really tight. As I can assemble computers for friends and family I am thinking about trying to get the repair done by myself, on the cheap.

Anyone have any ideas, schematics, repair menus, tutorials, etc that could help me out? I'd appreciate any guidance offered. ))
Respectfully,
Aurelius,
San Diego

The guy wants to replace the engine becuse the sparkplugs failed ? A good tech would trouble shoot this down to the convergance Ic's and just replace these for about 1/2 the cost, so keep looking around

Thanx for the comeback. I used the authorized Pioneer guy as listed on Pioneers site. I guess I'll just have to shop around some to what's available. Is the actual board that hard to replace (me coming from the slapping computer boxes together background and all)? I think I'd try it if I had system schematic or similar but am hesitant to just wade in. ))

Thanx again.
