Red color missing on test pattern Can't Post

I have a GE 46Gw944 that developed a slight color problem after a thunderstorm. There is a slight green tint to some images but whites are white and strong solid colors look fine. The problem is mostly in the tint of faces that appear to be greenish. I can only adjust the tint from green to blue.
When using the built in test pattern, it is supposed to alternate through white, green, blue, magneta, red... but the white test pattern does not have any red, the magneta looks the same as the white pattern, and the red pattern is completely dark except for a couple of very faint red dots on the bottom left of the screen.
I have a crappy schematic software program that hasn't been much help and have ordered the service manual from GE in hopes that it will help me track down the problem. Any ideas?

Turn down the color all the way and tell me what color pix you have. You should have a GOOD B/W pic. If not your crt's are not balanced out. It sounds like your red deminished for some reason.

With the color turned all of the way down, the B&W picture looks great.
I couldn't find a switch or menu to display the single horizontal line for adjusting the drive and bias adjustments that older sets used to have. But blindly fiddling with the adjustments did improve the picture somewhat but something is still not quite right. One day the picture was great, then next, low contrast pictures had a green tint to them.
It is really strange that none of the built in test patterns have any red.
