Samsung - CRT or Convergence ICs??? Can't Post

Hi all,
I have been reading and reading but can't seem to confirm my suspicions...

My Samsung HCN473W went the other day. It looked like the GREEN was out of convergence. I did the perfect focus a few times but it only goes to 4% and stops. So, I did a manual convergence through the normal menu (Not the mute-1-8-3). After that, the green went all blurry ,way out of focus and flutters from time to time.

So, my question is...Is it just the green CRT gone or is it the convergence board?

I was told that the Green CRT is static and the convergence board would not fix the Green convergence/focus problem. .

Is this correct or should I buy the convergence board and see?

Thanks!

I did do an extensive search and came to the conclusion that I think it is the convergence board. However, in talking to the Techs at the place I got a quote from, I am told that my green CRT is bad as well. I find it hard to belive that these 2 issues could suddenly occur at the same time.
Plus I still see the green cross hairs, they are just blurry and flutter. The tech said that the green CRT is sationary and the convergece board will not fix the blurry green.
Will a convergence issue cause the green to go blurry and flutter?
Thanks!

Well,
I took a gamble and picked up a brand new convergence board. Installed it and hit the "Perfect Focus" and.... No difference :-( It went to 4% and kicked out.
The Green is all fuzzy so I did the Mute-1-8-3. The green grid was messed up big time. I aligned everything as best I could, saved, and exited. It looked better than before but still bad. I thought one more "Perfect Focus" and it would be good... Nope... No Sensor Data. What is wrong???
I am down $200 Canadian and bumed out! PLEASE HELP
Attached is a pic of the green. It shows how fuzzy the green is. What is wrong?
Thanks
