you need to change the two big ic's in the 2nd last pic marked STK392-040 and check nearby low value resistors for open circuit and change them as well

Ok now can you put it in terms that someone that has never fixed a tv can understand.

I get about changing the two STK's
But where would i get those? Can you point me in the right direction?

And what resistors are you talking about? And where can i get those as well?

Your help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Is it two pictures or one? The pic you posted looks like the crt are not aligned. Kinda like when you set it up to see a 3d movie. You could try to use the settings to fix the problem. Visit this site for more info on rear projection tvs. www.buyyourtvhere.com

good luck

you need to be good at soldering to change them. dont start the job if you are not confident about it.better to call in a local tech.the resistors are low value(less than 5 ohms) and should be right by or between the ic's.i dont have the schematic for this model so cant tell you the position numbers, sorry.order parts from manufacturer or local agent but dont buy cheapo Chinese equivalents as they will only last a couple of weeks and fail again.

Lets just go at this simply, the second pix shows that at least the green fills the screen this tells us that both voltages are at the convergance board, Never attept to enter the service mode to fix a electrical failure as sugested above this will cause more problems than its worth, replacing just the Ic's is a good Idea but your knowlage of how to test resistor seems to come up a little short so the simplest way would be to replace the entire board on the upper left of pix 7, this has the STK392-040 on it. Also by replacing the entire board you do not run the risk of buying the cheepo Ic's to save some cash. And finaly this is a simple unplug and re-plug thing.
