Samsung HLS5087W bulb??????????	Can't Post

First poster here so please be gentle. Looking for a new lamp for Samsung HLS5087W. The screen went black after every 10 seconds and then got lines on the screen and then again black. The service man says the lamp is creating problem, have to replace it. If you have got such experience or know what is it? or what has actually happened? Please do answer me.

Anxiously waiting for your reply because I can't live without my Tv.

Lamps are simple a BP96-01472A at www.vancebaldwin.com is 160.00 but this will not cause lines in the pix. This could be one of two boards , first and most likley is what is called the DMD board BP94-02269A for around 300.00. this is cheaper than the light engine but takes some experance to install it. But if when the set dies it blinks all three LED's in the front start with the lamp

Anjelina tell me, If the screen has some blinking lights?

If so then definitely lamp problem. Check out the connection if they are working well? Sometimes connectors are not fully connected and so does not make the connection fully...

For purchasing new lamp, try eBay or discountmerchant is also good....etc

Try to reseat the lamp and then check what happens. If the problem remains then it needs a lamp. ok
will you please tell me is there any other issue along with the lines as blinking lights and others...

i also have Samsung but my problem was little different my picture wasn't black but got little bit darker. I replaced the lamp and now its working good.

It was Samsung Lamp. Also compatible to your Model.

it sounds like a bad lamp. have you ever serviced your Tv?

you might have not taken care of it? Or keep it in some non-ventilated area.

Try this replacement Lamp AA47-10001B
Its of about $109.99.

Yea I agree to the above person. lines aren't created by lamp fault. Just try checking out all the connections including boards, ballast.

If still lamp problem then here is a compatible lamp for your Tv model.
