Hi I have been given the above TV, it previous owner (My younger brother) decided it would be a nice idea to perform a reset in the service menu having got hold of the service manual.
I have managed to sort out the convergence although it is a little out of position , Blush

(only noticable when veiwing a bottom of the screen cable menu) though i still cant get it to auto converge
The main problem is that although I get sound from cable TV and DVD, connected by scart. I get no sound at all from an analogue TV signal from the aerial. I guess it is a setting in one of the sub menus (i have the default factory settings and the listing of the headings.
If anybody feels they could help it would be much appreciated and i would be happy to email the relevant service manual file (828kb zipped)
It is an old TV now and i don't think it is worth getting an expert to sort it out as the cost would be more than its worth. But it is a personal mission now Smile

check its not set for eastern European sound in the menu

Thanks for the reply, i just can't find that setting.

I tried individually adjusting System to CW, Swapping from nicam to dolby, none of which solved the problem.

if you are in the UK the system is pal I not D/K .should be in initial set up menu.

Thanks for that,
The channel autostore (Country)had changed so i changed it back to UK and searched for channels again. Problem solved. Never though to look in the standard set up menu.
Now if i could just work out why the clock loses its time every time the tv is manually switched off I will be set. Sly

some tv's have no clock retention when switched off at the mains.yours may be one.don't waste time finding a fault that isn't there. a phone call to samsung may tell you if this is so.
