Sony 53XBR25 Convergence won't stay aligned

I know my TV is really old but, hey I got it for free and I am in college. I have a really old kp-53xbr25 and the convergence won't stay in place. Whenever I align the lines it will stay for a short amount of time from 5-15 mins and than snap in and out of place. The longer i leave on the TV the less it happens. I have read that it could be the stk chip or something, please help me. Direct me on what I can do and what i need to buy and where it could be.
