Sony 61" Big Screen died Can't Post
My Sony 61" big screen died on me, no picture or sound. It is a 2000 year model andthe model number is KP-61S75 Ive tried the reset button on the remote and nothing, also tried unplugging it for several minutes and still nothing. The self diagnosis L.E.D. flashes four times. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and a rough estimate of what I can expect to get this fixed or is it something I could possibly fix myself? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

On this model four flashes indicates that vertical deflection has stoped and shut down the set. The only problem with following that error code is just about any thing can stop the vertical, from no signal from the jungle Ic, a bad vertical Ic itself, or the most comon is the vertical Ic has no power because one or both convergance Ic's failed and took the fuse that shares the voltage supply line. Internet estimates are real hard because prices vary from city to city but here in east WA. if it is the convergance Ic's that kill the set $325.00 to 400. depending on travel time and parts
