Sony 61" Big Screen repair Can't Post

I have been trying to get my big screen, Model 61S75- 7 years old, fixed for some time now. My problem is that all my local repair shops each give me a different diagnosis(set has no picture or sound. L.E.D. flashes 4 times) I understand that it could be a number of different things that could be wrong. But with all the different diagnosis and wide range of repair costs(up to $800.00) I have gotten a bit spooked on taking it to any one of my local shops. So my question is this, Given the age of my set and the likelyhood that a number of things could be wrong, would it be feesible and cost efficient and in the long run- longer lasting if I just replaced most if not all the componets inside the set? Im mainly talking about the boards that are affected by the existing problem. If so, would replacement boards come with everything intact that I could just swap them out without swapping out individual circuits and so forth? If all this is possible, besides Sony, where would be a good place to get these parts? The last thing is, is this something a novice should even attempt, I have changed out boards on my computer pretty easily, but havent attempted the T.V. Im not trying to step on any pro's toes or anything, like I said the local shops have got me spooked because no one can agree on the same diagnosis

At this sets age it may be dificult to find replacment boards, but from a simple search for the KP-61S75 just for the main deflection and the signal boar I came up with $758.95 plus shipping and that still leaves some boards. this was by searching Andrews and VanceBaldwin
