Sony SXRD Discoloration 50"	Can't Post

Hi all,

Wouldn't you know it... 1 month after the Sony warranty is up...the TV is messing up.

My issue...
I have green patches on the screen... it is really noticeable when you change the channels and the gray screen shows in-between. In the bottom right corner the green is most severe. It looks the same if you had a magnet to close to a crt TV. All my equipment is magnetically shielded.

So... any idea what is going on and how can I go about fixing it.

Any and all help appreciated.

you have answered your own question.something has magnetized the tube OR the demagnetising unit has failed.switch the set off at the wall socket for 1 hour,switch on and see if it demagnetises itself.

I tried... no change... a slight change but the green is still there. It was unplugged for 8 hours. Time to call a repair shop... darn it!!! Any other ideas to what might be causing this?
