Hello all, I am the guy who posted about the green spot and I have been looking at Samsing DLPs. I walked into Circuit city tonight and got an open box item (had to replace the power cord after electrician wiring tvs in store accidentally sliced it with a box cutter trying to open a cable package). $2,700 out the door including tax for a HLP4663W. I have it positioned in my built-in so that the front is flush against the opening and it looks like a plasma. My wife and I have been watching the Zenith since the 2nd of August. I can tell you without a DOUBT that everything loos better on the Samsung and I have not even configured it yet. Directv regular channels look 100% better, clearer, and free of vertical banding. When I put finding nemo in the progressive scan DVD player her comment was, "now I am impressed." The Zenith cost $2,460 after tax and the Samsung cost #2,700 after tax. $240 and I am SOOOO much happier. I am not trying to knock the Zenith, but I know that I would have appreciated someone posting this before I bought the Zenith. It goes back to best buy tomorrow. I honestly never intended to spend more than $1,400 on a TV (34" sony hdtv) but couldn't be happier with the purchase. I will check this forum again every couple days or so for a while to answer any questions if anyone has any. $3422.93 is the price of the HLP4663W from best Buy including Tax. I paid $2,700 for the same TV at Circuit City. That is $722.93 cheaper. Granted the set was a week old and had the power cord replaced, But even the New ones at Circuit City are $3,101.93. Another note, the Circuit City extended plan (you have until 30 days fromthe date of purchase to add the service plan) covers BULBS and and Best Buy one doesn't. Makes a difference. Best of luck to everyone, picking a TV was more difficult than buying a new car. Not a fun experience, but definately worth the trouble.
