Sony 57" Projection KDP-57XBR2 not powering up

Hi, i have a 1996 Sony XBR Projection tv 57" that will not power up when i plug it in. It will start up seemingly but then something do a type of "click" sound and then shut off immediately without any picture showing up on the monitor. I dont know too much about tv repair but i am wondering what you guys might think about the problem being. I checked the fuse on the transistor board and it seemed to be fine so that is about as much as i can figure out myself from my diagnostic. Thanks for all the input.
