I just bought one at Furure Shop (Canada) It is now selling for $1899 (includes the $250 free stand) Quite a drop in price compared to last year.
I'll be setting it up using a HDTV cable box with DVI connection ($20 monthly rental from Cogeco Cable or $800 to purchase)
It was a toss-up between the 44" Zenith LCD Projection, and a 42" LG Plasma EDTV ($2999) Looking at the quality, I decided it wasn't worth paying an extra $1100 for the plasma, I hope I made the right decision. I used the extraa $$$ to pay for the Monster Cables(DVI cable $170) Clean Power powerbar ($130) and a 3year extended warranty ($300) My next purchase will be the new LG HD DVD player.
