ok i bought a 55" magnavox model number 55p828
on the botom and on the top you can see where the different colors are. like they arent aligned right. with red and green showing off alignment. and when blue shows up it blurs out the screen.
how do ifix this!!! its driving me bonkers. i can watch it its in great shape the guy said he replaced the mothrboard like 2 years ago and gave me another circuit board that goes to the buttons on the front.
my question is is what do you think is wrong and w\how hard would it e for me to fix it? or how much would it cost to get it fixed. i am pretty tech savvy so i can pretty much understand what you mean. if not i can take pictures. thanks guys hopefully someone here can help me out this tv was my birthday present!!

First the colors not being aligned is a good chance of being your convergence amps being bad. This also comes with a few resistors being open. I just did this to mine and I had the service manual which I suggest you get. The blue problem is likely dirty coolant on the CRT. yes convergence ic's need changing.you need to be good with the soldering iron and dont forget to replace the heat compound, if used, between ic and heatsink.
