toshiba projection tv TP55F81 pic goes out, sound good

i have a 10 year old toshiba 55' projection tv. it starts up runs good for about 20 mins then pic goes out but the sound is fine. no line nothing, just blank, doesnt click when it goes out. if i let it sit for a minute the pic well come on then right back off. if it sits for a while then i start it it will stay on for a couple minutes. wwhen it is on it has great pic and sound. im new at fixing tvs but would love to do it my self (well with help from you guys). any help well do. thanks
