15" Flatscreen Beko TV shows picture and goes black after 1 second	Can't Post

Hi,
I have a 15" Beko flatscreen TV and when I switch it on it shows the signal perfectly for 1 second and then the screen goes black. The TV doesn't power off but the screen just goes black. The TV used to work fine. There is no issue with the power supply as i tested it on another TV and the signal isl fine. Can anyone advise what the problem is and if its fixable.

is this LCD, Plasma or flat crt? no model number?

Do you mean that you swapped the power supply and yours works on the donor set and/or vica-versa? Or something else? What does "and the signal isl fine" mean? Smile

when the picture is gone can you see the backlights on at the back of the screen?

Hi,
I had a CCTV signal going into the old beko thru the TV aerial. The picture worked fine for a year. Yesterday I turned on the TV and it showed the signal/picture for 1 second and the TV went completely black. The power light is still on in the TV so power is going to it. I replaced the TV and the signal/picture is working fine now again on the new TV. I am wondering if the old TV can be fixed.

Let's try it from a different direction: With the set on and sound coming out of the sets speakers, if you hold a flashlight near screen, do you see a very dim picture? Angelic

Hi,
Backlights are off and no picture whatsoever. Screen is totally black as it would be if TV was turned off.

then my guess is either the inverter board is faulty or the screen is faulty(lights are built in)
